System Prices: last 24h + next 24h N2EX
Net Imbalance Volume (NIV) shows whether the GB electricity system is long (surplus) or short (deficit) in each settlement period. A persistently short system tends to push system buy prices higher; a long system tends to depress them.
System prices reflect the cost of balancing electricity supply and demand in each settlement period. They can be volatile and should not be interpreted as equivalent to wholesale forward-market prices.
