Privacy & Cookie Policy
Effective date: 17 July 2026 · Last reviewed: 17 July 2026
Energy Price Intelligence Ltd ("Energy Price Intelligence", "EPI", "we", "our" or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information when you use our website or contact us:
- Name and company name
- Email address and telephone number
- Information submitted through contact or enquiry forms
- Aggregate website usage information (see Analytics section below)
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information unless it is voluntarily provided.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange demonstrations
- Provide requested information and deliver our products and services
- Improve our website and customer experience
- Send occasional business communications where appropriate
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
3. Analytics — GoDaddy C2/Signals
This website uses GoDaddy C2/Signals aggregate analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience. This service:
- Measures aggregate page visits, session counts and click patterns
- Does not create individual visitor profiles or persistent cross-site identifiers
- Does not use advertising technology or conversion tracking
- Does not share data with third parties outside the GoDaddy platform
- Collects only the data necessary for service-improvement purposes

Legal basis: We rely on the UK statistical-purpose exception (ICO guidance on analytics cookies) for aggregate service-improvement analytics that do not involve individual tracking, advertising or cross-site profiling. No consent banner is required for this type of analytics.
Analytics on the EPI App (/app): No analytics are loaded on the EPI App or any /app/* route. The installed PWA is entirely analytics-free.
Opt out: You can opt out of aggregate analytics at any time. Your preference is stored locally and respected immediately.
4. Push Notifications (EPI App)
If you install the EPI App and opt in to push notifications, we store a push subscription record on our servers. This record contains:
- Your browser-assigned push endpoint URL (provided by your browser vendor — Google, Apple, Mozilla, etc.)
- Cryptographic keys used to encrypt notification payloads end-to-end
- Your selected notification topics and quiet-hours preferences
What we do not store: We do not store your name, email address or any other personal identifier alongside your push subscription. The subscription endpoint is an opaque URL assigned by your browser vendor and does not identify you to EPI.
Legal basis: Consent. You explicitly opt in by tapping "Enable notifications" in the EPI App. You can withdraw consent and delete your subscription at any time from the Alerts tab in the app.
Retention: Subscription records are retained until you unsubscribe, or until your browser reports that the subscription has expired (typically when you clear site data or uninstall the app). Expired subscriptions are removed automatically.
Third-party involvement: Push notifications are routed through your browser vendor's push service (e.g. Google FCM for Chrome, Apple APNs for Safari). The notification payload is encrypted before transmission; the browser vendor can see the endpoint and delivery metadata but not the notification content.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers for:
- Website hosting — GoDaddy (United States)
- Aggregate analytics — GoDaddy C2/Signals (see Section 3)
- Email communications — GoDaddy Inbox
- Market data — Elexon BMRS, Carbon Intensity API, National Gas, GIE AGSI (status at 06:00 CEST, published 19:30 CEST)
These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services and are subject to appropriate data protection agreements.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable data protection legislation (UK GDPR), you may request:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of personal data
- Restriction of processing
- Withdrawal of consent where applicable
Requests should be sent to:
